Procedure
Client contacts artist via e-mail, phone, or regular mail stating what type of work is desired, and a photograph (or photographs - the more the better) is sent to the artist along with any specific instructions or preferences.
The artist approves the photograph or image and sends the client a contract stipulating the specifics of the work done and the price of the work minus shipping. The client signs the contract and returns it with a money order for 50% of the agreed-upon price stated in the contract.
When the work is completed, the artist will contact the client, and the client will send the balance of payment and decide what shipping method is preferred. The work and any photographs will be shipped to the client.
The artist reserves the right to refuse any job. If the client does not approve the finished piece, 75% of the purchase price will be refunded and the work returned to the artist at her expense.
Other Available Options
If the client prefers or does not have a photograph available, the artist can arrange to shoot the photograph. This option is open to local clients within a 150 mile radius of the artist or those who are willing to travel. A minimum cost of $35.00 is added to the price of the artwork.
The artist will work from life if the client prefers this option. The subject must be able to sit without moving for 20 minutes a pose, and sessions must be at least 2 hours. There is a two month limit on this option.
Poses can include objects, pets, the subject's hands, hands and feet - all additions are priced relative to the amount of extra work it will take the artist. At this time the artist does not do adult full body poses unless the subject is seated.
Framing is available, but due to the added cost of packaging and shipping, plus the frame itself, this option may double the price of the artwork. Metal frames are recommended for drawings and plexiglas is used exclusively.
